Students applying to the Bachelor's Degree Completion Program must be able to transfer in the equivalent of 2 years of college or an Associate's Degree.

Your application and credentials should be completed at least one month prior to your desired term of enrollment. Applications submitted less than two weeks before the start of the term may not be reviewed in time for registration for that term.

To apply for admission as a degree seeking student, the following must be submitted:

  1. A completed Application for Admission
  2. A $35.00, non-refundable application fee
  3. Official transcripts from all colleges or universities and other post-secondary institutions attended
  4. An autobiographical essay or resume

Applicants should have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 point scale in all of their previous course work.

Admission Decision

When Webster considers an application, we look for evidence of potential for academic success. While a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is preferred, no application is declined without a thorough individual review. Additional factors, including professional work experience, may be considered in determining eligibility for admission. Any pertinent information regarding your academic performance or ability to succeed may be submitted with your application. You are also welcome to confidentially discuss with your admission counselor any individual circumstances that might affect your admission.

Transfer Credit Policies

College-level transfer credit from accredited institutions is generally transferable to Webster. The University accepts a maximum of 98 credit hours of transfer work from other accredited four-year institutions. Of this 98, no more than 64 lower-division credit hours may be transferred from a community college, standardized tests, or other lower-division institutions, unless an associate's degree was awarded. If the associate's degree was awarded, Webster University will give full transfer credit minus any remedial or punitively graded courses. We accept as transfer credit college-level work completed with a grade of C or better, subject to the maximum transferable credits. Courses completed with a grade of D have severe transfer restrictions and generally are not applicable toward graduation requirements at Webster.

Students completing the bachelor's degree must meet these requirements.

  1. Successful completion of 128 credit hours.

  2. Successful completion of at least 30 of a student's final 36 credit hours registered for and earned directly from Webster University. These residency credit hours may include credit hours earned through assessment of prior learning and departmental credit hours by examination.

  3. A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 earned in courses taken at Webster University based on a 4.0 system.

  4. Successful completion of an approved major. Options include:

    1. Completion of the requirements for an established major in a department.

    2. Completion of an approved individualized area of concentration (IAOC).

    3. Completion of the requirements for dual majors if the areas are available with the same degree. (The same course may not satisfy the degree requirements for two different majors and/or minors.)

  5. Successful completion of general education requirements.
